National Certificate in Asset Management (Competitive Pricing Procedures) - Level 6

InfraTrain is currently developing a qualification for Procurement Procedures (PP), which will replace this National Certificate.

The new qualification is aligned to the Procurement Manual for work funded by the New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA), under the National Land Transport Programme.

New enrolments
In the interim, InfraTrain will continue to enrol candidates into the existing Competitive Pricing Procedures (CPP) qualification, and transition them into the new qualification once it is launched.

Candidates will receive an interim PP workbook with the revised unit standards, and will be assessed against these.

Candidates enrolled since July 2010
If candidates complete before the new PP qualification is registered, they will receive the CPP qualification.

However, candidates will be able to apply to the New Zealand Qualifications Authority to have the qualification replaced by the new PP qualification.

If the candidate has not completed the CPP qualification by the time the new PP qualification is registered, InfraTrain will transition them into the PP qualification.

Proposal Evaluators
NZTA will continue to accept the CPP qualification for Proposal Evaluators.  However, they are now required to demonstrate their knowledge of the Procurement Manual.

In order to retain their qualified status, Proposal Evaluators are required to take a 15 question on-line test, with a pass mark of a minimum of 80%.  NZTA has been holding workshops around the country to assist Evaluators who qualified under the CPP rules.

New Proposal Evaluators achieving the new PP qualification will not be required to pass the test.
