arrange for an InfraTrain regional advisor to complete a Training
Plan and Training Agreement.

This qualification is for people who are just
starting out, or moving to infrastructure from a different
industry.
It includes some basic important skills such as health and
safety, equipment operation and maintenance.
It also includes optional specialised strands in Earthworks,
Pavement Surfacing, Roads, Rural Contracting, or Utilities.
This qualification replaces the InfraTrain National
Certificates in Civil Infrastructure - General Introductory
Skills, Pavement Surfacing (Application), and Rural
Contracting (Introductory Skills).
Training Plan
National Certificate in Civil
Plant Operation Level 3
You will gain the skills and knowledge to operate plant and
equipment in the civil construction industry.
The qualification covers core skills in plant and equipment
inspection, locating and identifying services, communication
on civil construction sites, knowledge of quality assurance
requirements, health, safety & environment, first aid and
traffic management.
In addition there is a choice of four strands in Culverts
and Drainage Systems, Earthworks, Road Construction and Road
Maintenance.

Training Plan
National Certificate in
Infrastructure Works (Bulk Earthmoving) Level 3
You will gain skills and knowledge in processes,
environmental issues, work safety and the legal requirements
of bulk earthmoving. An elective section covers the
operation of different types of civil plant used in bulk
earthmoving.
Training Plan
National Certificate in
Infrastructure Works (Forestry Earthworks) Level 3
You will gain the skills required to operate civil machinery
in a forestry environment. You will learn about constructing
earthworks, and health, safety and environmental
requirements in forestry.
The qualification is completed with one of the following
strands - Bulldozer, Hydraulic Excavator, Motor Grader.
Training Plan
National Certificate in
Infrastructure Works Supervision Level 4
This qualification is for people with responsibility for
daily on-site activities such as supervisors and foremen.
It covers key skills which are relevant to supervisors,
including health and safety, resource planning and use,
quality assurance, environmental protection, measuring,
record keeping, and site supervision.
Trainees can also select optional strands in supervising
Civil Works and Utilities, Asphalt or Chipseal Surfacing,
Road Works, Water or Wastewater, if required.
This qualification replaces the InfraTrain National
Certificates in Pavement Surfacing (Single Site Supervision) and Civil
Construction Supervision.
Training Plan
National Certificate in
Infrastructure Works Supervision Level 5
This qualification is designed for people who supervise or
manage multiple sites or large projects.
It covers core management skills including scheduling
infrastructure works project resources, protecting health, safety and the environment, monitoring
project quality assurance, and documenting infrastructure
works projects.
Trainees can also select optional strands in Civil Plant
Management, Civil Works, Pavement Surfacing, Roadmarking,
Road Works or Rural Contracting, if required.
This qualification replaces the InfraTrain National
Certificates in Civil Plant Management, Pavement Surfacing (Multiple Sites Supervision), and Rural Contracting
(Management).
