These qualifications can only be gained through Recognition of
Current Competency (RCC). They are for experienced
infrastructure workers who can demonstrate that their existing
skills and knowledge meet the requirements of the entire
qualification.

To enrol in any of these
qualifications, call 0800 486 626 to arrange for an InfraTrain
regional advisor to complete a Training Plan and Training Agreement.
Design qualifications
National Certificate in Design
(Introductory Skills) - Level 2
You will learn the skills required to produce freehand
sketches and designs, identify, investigate and solve design
problems, produce images using computer graphic and computer
aided draughting (CAD) programs and develop and apply time
management.
Training Plan
National Certificate in Design
(Draughting) - Level 3
You will gain knowledge of the skills required to produce
images using computer graphic programs, prepare, plan and
present design project work, and write technical reports.
You will also learn work safety practices and gain knowledge
of chemistry and physics.

National Certificate in
Design - Level 3
You will learn the skills required to develop, produce and
implement a design plan, prepare, plan and present design
project work, develop a design brief. You will also gain the
knowledge that will enable you to investigate and apply
design principles and evaluate techniques. You can choose to
specialise in either graphic design or technology.
Training Plan
National Diploma in Design -
Level 6
With this Diploma you can choose to specialise in Graphic
Design, Product Design or Spatial Design. You will gain the
skills required to prepare proposals for design services,
gather and interpret design research, develop design
solutions, administer contracts, prepare design project
costs and supervise work in progress.
