To enrol in these
qualifications, call 0800 486 626 to arrange for an InfraTrain
regional advisor to complete a Training Plan and Training Agreement.
Health and safety qualifications
InfraTrain New
Zealand
provides qualifications that help you
meet Health, Safety and Environment
obligations under the Health and Safety in Employment Act, 2003.
Health, Safety and Environment units are also included in a
number of the Civil Construction
qualifications.
Limited Credit Programme (LCP) in Health and Safety
This LCP is designed to provide the basic health and safety skills
required for infrastructure workers that work on their own, operate
machinery or lead small teams.
Training Plan
National Certificate in Civil
Infrastructure Health, Safety and Environment (Operations) - Level 3
This qualification is designed for people working in the civil
infrastructure industries who have individual responsibility for
protecting health, safety and the environment.
The core compulsory units cover knowledge of safety and emergency
response and essential skills in first aid, fire fighting,
communication, and safe work practices.
Elective units can be selected to meet individual job requirements.
These units cover temporary traffic management, location of
services, confined space work, slinging, lifting, and placing with
an excavator or loader, and/or working with hazardous substances.
