To be eligible for a Modern Apprenticeship you must be

  • Aged 16 to 21 years old when you begin your Modern Apprenticeship

  • Employed in the infrastructure industry

  • Literacy and numeracy assistance

  • Our Regional Managers guide the apprentice and company through the whole process with regular visits and assist in the development of personal training plans

  • Our Regional Managers will also be available to answer any questions and help sort through any issues that may arise

  • Civil Plant Operation - Level 3

  • Civil Plant Operation (Bulk Earthmoving) - Level 3

  • Civil Plant Operation (Civil Construction Works) - Level 3

  • Civil Construction Works (Forestry Earthworks) - Level 3

  • Civil Construction Supervision - Level 4

  • Civil Infrastructure Engineering (Civil Laboratory Technician) - Level 4

  • Horizontal Directional Drilling - Level 3

  • Infrastructure Pipelaying - Level 3

  • Pavement Surfacing Asphalt Paving Machine Operation - Level 3

  • Pavement Surfacing Asphalt Production - Level 3

  • Pavement Surfacing Plant Operation - Level 3

  • Roadmarking - Level 3

  • Surveying (Assistant) - Level 3

  • Water Reticulation (Service Person) - Level 3

A typical programme lasts 2-3 years, and generally comprises an introductory level qualification, followed by trade skills and knowledge gained while working towards a Level 3 or Level 4 National Certificate.
