How to enrol
To enrol in any of these
qualifications, call 0800 486 626 to arrange for an InfraTrain
regional advisor to complete a Training Plan and Training Agreement.

National Certificate in Infrastructure
Works - Level 2
With an optional strand in Rural Contracting
This is an introductory certificate for people starting out in the
industry, or entering from a different industry.
It includes some basic important skills such as health and
safety, plant operation and maintenance, measurement and
numerical skills.
The qualification can be completed with an optional strand in
Rural Contracting, if required.
This qualification replaces the InfraTrain National Certificates in
Rural Contracting (Introductory Skills), Civil Infrastructure -
General Introductory Skills, and Pavement Surfacing (Application).

National Certificate in Agricultural
Contracting - Level 3
This certificate covers the skills and knowledge for general or
specialist agricultural contracting work.
The core qualification includes learning how to recognise the
hazards associated with tractor use, operation of a basic wheel
tractor with attached implement, tractor safety, workplace
communications, health and safety, measurement and calculations, and
planning a basic agricultural contracting operation.
Optional strands are available in Crop
Production, Fencing, Harvesting, Land Development, Mechanical
Vegetation Control, Transport and Zero Tillage.
This qualification is endorsed by
Rural
Contractors New Zealand, and can be used to gain accreditation
as a
Qualified Contractor.

National Certificate in Infrastructure Works Supervision - Level 5
With an optional strand in Rural Contracting Management
This qualification is designed for people who supervise or
manage multiple sites or large projects.
It covers core management skills including scheduling
project resources, protecting health, safety and the environment, monitoring
project quality assurance, and documenting infrastructure
works projects.
It can be completed with an optional strand in Rural
Contracting, if required.
This qualification replaces the InfraTrain National
Certificates in Rural Contracting (Management), and Pavement
Surfacing (Single Site Supervision) and (Multiple Sites
Supervision).
